It is our magnificent seascape sunsets and sunrises that trigger a response in some Hollywoodlanders. We invite you to share that image or any other image that triggers inspiration living in our tract. Your inspiration can be through visual artistic impressions of photos, paintings drawings or from a written word, poem, a song.
All works must include: Entry form with Name, address, length of time living in Hollywoodland, email, phone, a brief statement about you or the inspiring piece.
It would be helpful to pre-register by January 18th so we can better plan for drop off / organization etc. eMail us your name and proposed submission HHA@hollywoodland.org. Entries should be shareable and in a format that is framed or appropriate to the medium
Criteria for art submission
2-D Artwork:
Must be either gallery wrapped or properly framed – all edges must be finished and completely dry. If framed, frames must be free clean with no chips.
Glass or plexiglass is acceptable – If matted, mats must be clean
Pastels must be sealed
All surfaces must be dry.
Must be securely fastened with picture wire with the center wire 3” below the top of frame. WIRE MUST BE TAPED – NO SHARP WIRE EXPOSED.
Artwork must not exceed 5’ in any direction
Weight must not exceed 25 pounds
3-D Artwork:
Artwork must provide own pedestal.
Weight up to 35 pounds is acceptable *If over 35 pounds, the artist is responsible for placement of artwork with the approval of the Receiving Committee.
Jewelry must be on stands that artist provides.
Written prose, poems, musical scores
Shall be submitted in a visual format that can easily be viewed and read.
Video or auditory
Submissions should include a mechanism to display or play the submission on( please indicate if an electrical connection is needed).
The show will open January 29, 2023 and run on weekends through February and by appointment.
Participants may sell their works.
