A dreaded FIRE

The above was towards the ending and the adjacent image (CLICK read more button) was the beginning of the 7/19 fire … later it got very near to the little guard house at the end of the dam-bridge.  The Council office acted quickly and prevailed upon DOT to move the autos at the unsanctioned Vista Point stopped to gawk at this misfortune.  That quick action was much appreciated during the danger, but the huge underlying problem remains to be addressed:  the City must work with us to reverse the five year transformation of a neighborhood into a public park.  The picture above shows the proximity of the fire to the homes on Lake Hollywood Drive.
