Update on our current appeal|We had a HUGE turnout!

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

We would like to express our deep appreciation for the time and care you took on Wednesday to come out to the City Council committee hearing of the appeal regarding the viewsite.LISTEN; OUR APPEAL BEGINS AT 54:34

We all know this is part of the larger international tourism destination promotion project that the City has been pursuing for many years now. It was so important to have Councilmember Ryu hear everyone’s concerns directly and press him to help find solutions that work holistically for everyone instead of in a piecemeal way.

While the current action is about trees along Mulholland, there are other actions we can expect in the future that will be far worse. Our current appeal is likely to come to City Council on Friday May 31, 2019 and judging by Councilmember Ryu’s actions to this point it is doubtful there will be any public hearing or comments at that time- probably just an approval by consent.

Your interest reinforces our mutual strength and bolsters the arguments we will have for next time the City takes one of these piecemeal actions to promote its tourist destination and your continuing enthusiastic participation will help to make this a success.
